If you’re anything like me, after having your first child, you probably stuffed your now fuller breasts into the same bras you had been wearing for years. For a good few years, I was completely in the dark about my actual bra size.
Fortunately, I moved to a new community that had an incredible store: half of it dedicated to toys for kids and the other half to women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. On weekends, they had a “bra fit specialist.” Did you know that existed?
This magical fit expert, named Jessica, joined me in the fitting room, armed with her tape measure, and worked her magic. To my shock, she informed me that I was a 38F. I had no idea F was even a size!
Interestingly, I discovered that I’m different sizes depending on the style and brand of the bra. In some, I’m a 38DD, while in others, I’m a 38F. Who knew? After buying three incredible bras, my breasts looked better than they had in years. We ended up chatting and laughing, as one does with a new bra fit specialist.
Jessica reached out after seeing our previous article titled “Million Dollar Idea: A Bra for Big Boobs That Doesn’t Completely Suck.” She wanted to share some expert recommendations for bras that cater to larger busts. If you have no clue what your bra size is, I highly recommend finding a local expert; it truly can change your life.
Here are some fantastic options:
- Wacoal “Lace Affair,” Band sizes 32-38, cup sizes B-G, $56.00
I own this bra and can vouch for its comfort. Unfortunately, it seems bra companies avoid showing what it looks like on larger busts. - Natori Pure Lux, Band sizes 32-38, cup sizes B-G, $72.00
This one is all about comfort, especially with its straps. - Natori Pure Allure Full Figure Contour Bra, Band sizes 30-44, cup sizes B-G, $60.00
Another one I have! It makes your breasts look amazing, though you might notice the underwire by day’s end, making it better for special occasions. - Wacoal Retro Chic Underwire Bra, Band sizes 32-46, cup sizes C-I, $59.00
Anyone with a Wacoal bra knows how fantastic they are. Once you get one, you’ll be bragging about it too! - Fitfully Yours Nicole Sheer Lace Bra, Band sizes 32-44, cup sizes C-J, $69.00
This bra is beautiful, combining sheer mesh style with necessary coverage for thinner tops—so you won’t have to worry about any nip slips.
As you can see, finding quality bras for larger busts can be pricey. It’s frustrating that we must spend so much to find comfortable and supportive options. If anyone has budget-friendly suggestions, feel free to share in the comments below!
