Every year, my family gathers to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation right after we finish our Thanksgiving feast. The film, while cheesy and a bit dated, has become a beloved tradition. Even though this holiday season might feel different due to COVID-19, I’m determined to stream or rent Christmas Vacation, even if it’s just my husband and me. After all, what better way to kick off the festivities than watching Clark Griswold attempt to create the perfect Christmas—only for everything to hilariously go awry?
