Vanessa Carter, the widow of NBA icon Kobe Carter, has voiced her concerns regarding a recent verse by rapper Meek Mill that references her late husband, deeming it thoughtless and disrespectful. Vanessa tragically lost both Kobe and their 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, in a helicopter accident over a year ago, which also took the lives of seven others.
Taking to Instagram, Vanessa criticized Meek Mill for a specific line in his untitled song: “If I ever lack I’m goin’ out with my choppa, it be another Kobe.” In her post, she stated, “Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”
In response, Meek Mill
