Toddlers are little magicians, casting spells that create a whirlwind of emotions—like a bolt of lightning, both thrilling and terrifying. It’s a daily adventure filled with uncertainty, where every moment can be a surprise. Yet amid the chaos, there’s an undeniable beauty! The warmth of a toddler snuggled close feels like a slice of paradise, and their giggles can instantly brighten any room.

Embracing life with toddlers is like navigating a delightful tempest. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on things, they’ll send yogurt flying from the cart, applauding their own mischief.

Lately, that’s just how life unfolds! Oh wait, my little ones are the ones who turn cookies into crumbs, hiding them in the couch when I’m not paying attention.

It’s so wonderfully chaotic that I’m tempted to serenade you! However, since my 1-year-old prefers to shout “No!” every time I start to sing, I’ll share a poem instead.

My Toddler’s Favorites

  • Apples: I’ll nibble just half of an apple.
  • Band-aids: I’d pretend to be hurt for a Minion band-aid.
  • Crayons: Yes, I have tasted crayons.
  • Dog: I give my dog slobbery kisses.
  • Eat: Snacks are my favorite all-day activity.
  • Fire trucks: The mere sight of a fire truck makes me squeal with joy.
  • Go: I shout “Go!” while my mom applies her makeup in the car.
  • Happy: If you’re happy and you know it, give a clap!
  • Ironic: It’s funny how I resist sleep when I’m utterly exhausted.
  • Jam: I love dancing and jamming with my mom.
  • Kraft: There’s nothing better than Kraft Mac & Cheese.
  • Learn: I learn best through playtime.
  • Mickey Mouse: Mickey Mouse is my ultimate obsession.
  • NO: My favorite word is “No.”
  • Outside: The outdoors makes everything more fun.
  • Pacifier: I might just take my pacifier to college.
  • Question: “Why?” is my go-to question.
  • Rash: Diaper rash is truly the worst.
  • Seat: I hide secret treats in my car seat.
  • Tubby: The tub is where I turn bath time into a splash party.
  • Up: When I shout “up!”, I need you to scoop me up like royalty.
  • Very: I adore bouncy houses very much.
  • Wail: If I don’t get a popsicle by 6 a.m., prepare for a wail.
  • X: An X marks the treasure in my imagination.
  • You: I absolutely need you, Mom.
  • Zzzz…

Zzzz is the sound of bedtime approaching. So please, keep the laughter to a minimum, or I might have to pay you a visit for a playful prank!
