Her aspirations blend inspiration with the unexpected. When crafting a bucket list, you might envision goals that differ significantly from those of a child. However, an eleven-year-old named Lily has put together a remarkably detailed and intriguingly odd list of life goals that surprisingly resonate with some of the ambitions that parents often share.
Lily’s older brother, Ryan, stumbled upon this fascinating bucket list and, in true 2017 fashion, shared it on social media for all to enjoy. “I found my sister’s bucket list. What is going on in her head?” he muses. And honestly, we share his bewilderment.
While many entries are charmingly whimsical, such as her desire to pet a blobfish, koala, sloth, flamingo, and seal, others take a more unusual turn. For starters, she boldly states that she intends to “eat a hammerhead shark, snake, and bear.” And things just keep getting stranger.
Next on the list is her plan to obtain a sign in a foreign language, followed by a mysterious note that says she will translate it on March 12, 2021. Is she hinting at some kind of prophecy? Does she know about online translation tools? Why the two-year wait? So many questions arise, but let’s keep moving.
Lily also expresses a wish to try “Ariel silks,” which we determined refers to “aerial silks.” Sadly, this doesn’t involve acquiring mermaid legs and serenading a cartoon crab. Clearly, she has some circus aspirations.
Then the list takes a shift from the bizarre to goals that many parents can relate to. She aims to “sit in an empty room for an hour” and “eat 10 Taco Bell Dorito Tacos.” Heck yes! This is practically a mom’s dream: peace, quiet, and tacos. Lily has officially captured our attention.
Not one to just enjoy her Taco Bell feast in peace, she also dreams of winning a “Taco Bell Dorito Taco eating contest.” Go big or go home, right? After indulging in her taco adventure, Lily is clearly aware she might feel sluggish from all those carbs, as her next goal is to “stay asleep for 24 hours.”
Lily, can you be our life coach?
Her final goal, which is our personal favorite, is to pet a cheetah. Most little girls may settle for cuddling kittens, but not Lily—she’s aiming for the extraordinary.
Regarding his sister’s newfound fame, Ryan told Mashable, “I’m not sure if she fully grasps how many people admire her for her ambitions. Over 10,000 individuals have expressed their support, and I doubt she can truly comprehend that kind of attention.” We definitely count ourselves among her many fans. If Lily fulfills even half of her aspirations, she’ll be ready to offer a master class on living life to the fullest.
We’re all rooting for her!
