In a world where headlines often bring us down, here’s a delightful story to brighten your day: the New Taipei Police K-9 Unit has introduced six new recruits, and they are beyond adorable. Try not to say “Awwww” when you see them!
The K-9 unit proudly shared the news of their first-ever four-legged additions on social media, capturing the hearts of many who are enjoying this live rendition of a beloved animated series. These one-month-old pups are all American Labradors, and they have been given charming names: Fushin, Brother, AJ, Schumann, Feida, and Full Moon.
These little siblings are continuing a K-9 family legacy. According to sources, their mother, Daisy, and father, Chief, are already serving as part of the 22 dogs in the K-9 unit, working in anti-drug and anti-bomb operations. While nepotism usually raises eyebrows, we can’t help but let it slide for these cute furballs.
Captain of the K-9 Unit, Jason Lin, shared with a popular online platform that although the puppies appear to be snoozing in the pictures, they are quite lively. Officers take turns supervising the pups and their mother during the night. We’re guessing this is one instance where officers are happily volunteering for extra hours. And if they ever need a puppiesitter, we are officially applying!
While the stereotype that “blondes have more fun” is outdated, Captain Lin admits Fushin, the only golden-colored pup, is quite the handful. “Fushin is very special,” he remarks. “He’s the most mischievous and takes charge.” In fact, he’s being trained for a unique role as a blood detection dog.
Even though they look perpetually ready for cuddles, these pups are already on the path to becoming valuable members of the police force. Officers are introducing them to the scent of narcotics before meals to help them acclimate. If all goes as planned, these pups will officially join the ranks. However, if they don’t make the cut, we know just the right role for them — as our personal companions!
