- Grab your little one, a partner, or a buddy, and locate a box of Huggies®.
- Play the catchy tune “Suavemente” and showcase your best family-friendly dance moves on camera.
- Challenge a friend to participate in the fun!
- Use the hashtag #MerengueForMoms and share your video on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok (you can also submit it directly to us!).
Make sure to post your video by 12/31/19 with the hashtag #MerengueForMoms to ensure it’s counted!
Keep your videos under 30 seconds!
For every video shared with the #MerengueForMoms hashtag from 12/3/19 to 12/31/19, Huggies will contribute 100 diapers (up to 1 million) to the National Diaper Bank Network. This organization supports the 1 in 3 American families facing diaper need.
Did you know that 5 million babies and toddlers under three years old live in low-income households? Government assistance programs often overlook diapers as a basic need. This shortage affects both the physical and emotional health of children and parents alike. Many caregivers can’t work or attend school if they lack diapers for childcare, with 3 in 5 parents reporting they missed work due to this issue.
The National Diaper Bank Network, initiated with the support of Huggies, is a dedicated nonprofit focused on eradicating diaper need across the country. They currently assist 200,000 children monthly. Since 2011, Huggies has donated over 220 million diapers, and this year alone, they’ve contributed 20 million diapers to help families in crisis. This challenge aims to provide an additional 1 million diapers to those in need.
Fun fact: The theme song of the #MerengueForMoms movement, “Suavemente,” was released by Elvis Crespo in 1999 and has been recognized as a seminal Latin hit by Billboard Magazine. Elvis has generously allowed us to use his music to bolster this charitable cause supporting low-income families.
