At long last, the eclipse has come and gone! Whether you were one of those super parents who snagged eclipse glasses and organized a viewing party or just the one who told the kids not to stare at the sun (slowly raises hand), we’ve got a collection of tweets that will definitely tickle your funny bone.
1. Same.
We totally get you, sun. More than you can imagine.
2. Naturally.
What’s a monumental event that happens once every few decades without some Goldfish crackers and string cheese?
3. They won’t dare question us again.
Best. Disciplinary. Threat. EVER.
4. Oops, we missed it.
Tonight’s news will report how countless parents missed the eclipse because their kids were bickering over the glasses. Yes, they each had one. Yes, they were exactly the same.
5. So authentic.
There’s the light… and now it’s dark again. Repeat that three thousand times a day.
6. Because why would they?
They never listen on regular days, so why start now when their retinas could actually be in danger?
7. shakes head
Cool bug or once-in-a-lifetime solar event? Tough choice, right?
8. Good thinking.
This would definitely solve a lot of issues. Gray hairs? Who needs to see them!
9. Fingers crossed.
If you need me, I’ll be over here, crossing my fingers that my kids don’t look at the sun without me warning them. Totally normal behavior.
10. They honestly don’t care.
Just another one of those things parents get overly excited about while kids would rather munch on cereal. They’ll be just as thrilled.
11. Truth.
Nothing goes unnoticed. Not a single thing.
12. No pressure, right?
Hope everyone had a fantastic eclipse day!
