Photographer Jeremy Bustos expertly documented every moment, from the couple’s first dance to their exquisite five-tier wedding cake. While the event maintained a classic feel, Ryan opted for jeans throughout the evening, showcasing his laid-back personality.
Ava wore a custom gown designed by Vera Wang, featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline. She later changed into a chic “party dress” paired with country-inspired heels. Notably, her veil was adorned with hand-sewn lovebirds and three small birds representing her children, along with the couple’s and their kids’ names intricately embroidered.
After much anticipation, Ava confirmed their nuptials by posting a boomerang on Instagram. Interestingly, she mentioned to a friend last summer, before their engagement, that many referred to Ryan as her husband. “You wouldn’t believe how many people call him my ‘husband,’” she laughed.
Their friend and co-host, Jake Foster, officiated the ceremony, which had a familiar feel, as they often work together. Ava and Ryan met in 2015 on the set of a popular show and got engaged in October 2020. Ava was previously married to David Smith, with whom she shares three children: Lucas, 15, Mia, 12, and Noah, 7. Ryan also had a previous marriage.
The night before their wedding, the couple hosted a relaxed rehearsal dinner at Ryan’s restaurant, where they appeared genuinely happy and in love. Their wedding took place at their home, where they had been residing with Ava’s children during the pandemic, and they exchanged vows in an on-site chapel.
Congratulations to the lovely couple! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness together.
