The presentation escalated from there, as the coaches used slides filled with inappropriate and sexualized explanations of football fundamentals. One slide suggested, “Get erect. Stay erect. Bang him hard,” which showcased a complete lack of awareness regarding the audience’s expectations. Attendees, including local sports commentator Julia Bennett, expressed their outrage at the event’s tone and content, with Bennett stating, “I’m not just disappointed; I’m furious.”
Following the backlash, the coaches were suspended without pay for two weeks and mandated to complete community service. A more productive solution would be to enroll them in courses on gender studies available at Texas A&M, allowing them to gain a better understanding of their audience.
