Tess Harrison recently shared a joyful glimpse into her family vacation, using the occasion to reflect on a significant personal milestone. On August 11, she celebrated two years since she left an abusive relationship.
The model took to Instagram to post a series of vibrant vacation photos from Palm Springs, expressing her happiness and gratitude for how far she has come. “Hello from my first family getaway with my dad, step-mom, brother, and my two boys in Palm Springs,” she wrote. “I woke up today and realized the date — August 11th — marks two years since I left my abusive relationship. Now I’m here with both of my boys, reconnecting with family & enjoying our time together, a reality I never thought I’d see.”
“It’s not perfect, but I wanted to share this moment because two years ago, I didn’t even want to be alive,” she continued. “I was in a dark place and couldn’t envision a life free from pain. Although life still has its challenges, I’ve gained the necessary tools and support to face them. I’ve reconnected with family and distanced myself from toxic influences.”
“Healing is possible, y’all. I’m living proof. I couldn’t have made it without my family (both chosen and biological), my community, and all of you — thank you. 💞 IT’S A HOT & HEALING GIRL SUMMER! Also, yes, Bowie lost his first tooth today, OMG!!!”
While she didn’t delve into specifics in this post, Harrison previously spoke about her difficult marriage to ex-partner Nick Harrison, whom she married in 2015 before their divorce. She acknowledged that many who face intimate partner violence don’t have the option to leave safely, saying, “Not everyone gets to walk away (I had to claw my way out in my case) and feel the sun on their skin. I hold space for those lost to intimate partner violence.”
It appears that Harrison and her family have much to celebrate—from her son’s first lost tooth to enjoying quality time with loved ones. She truly deserves to embrace every moment of this new chapter in her life. For more insights into family dynamics and home insemination, check out our related post here.
