Biles excelled in the floor, vault, and balance beam events during the championship. Her floor routine featured one of her signature two-flip, three-twist maneuvers that has been aptly named “The Biles.”
“It’s truly emotional, especially as I prepare for my second Olympic run,” Biles expressed to reporters following her landmark win. “It’s surreal, and I really appreciate everyone who came out to support us, especially after the challenging year we’ve endured.”
