Nick Davis has officially launched a pediatric cancer foundation named ‘Zane’s Glow’ in tribute to his son, who tragically passed away at just five months old after a fierce battle with brain cancer.

On June 23, a day that would have marked Zane’s first birthday, Davis shared the news of the foundation’s establishment. “June 23rd will eternally be a day of joy. A beautiful ceremony to celebrate the life of an angel. Zane’s birth has now evolved into ‘Zane’s Glow.’ We are thrilled to announce this foundation, which aims to aid countless families in need,” he posted alongside heartfelt images of the symbolic floating lantern ceremony with loved ones. He elaborated on the mission of ‘Zane’s Glow,’ stating that it seeks to promote hope, grief support, and pediatric healthcare for children and families facing challenges. Davis expressed gratitude toward all who contributed to making this foundation a reality.

Zane’s mother, Lisa Brown, also took to social media to commemorate her son, sharing a touching video montage celebrating Zane’s brief life. “Happy heavenly birthday, Zane. Beneath all my emotions today lies an overwhelming love. I strive to stay positive, yet I can’t help but cry out, ‘This isn’t how it’s supposed to be,’” she shared. “I imagine him smashing his birthday cake and crawling around, pulling at my legs. Yet, here I am, about to blow out his first candle, wishing he were still here with us. GO REST HIGH 🤍,” she concluded her emotional post.

In August 2021, when Zane was only two months old, Nick and Lisa received the devastating news that their son had high-grade glioma, a rare and aggressive type of brain cancer. After carefully weighing their options, they ultimately decided to discontinue chemotherapy, opting instead to provide Zane with the most comfortable and enriching life possible. “We could have chosen a path where he lived in a hospital, wired to machines for the rest of his days. Having experienced chemotherapy myself, I know that pain. I didn’t want him to endure that,” Davis explained. “We had a fleeting time with a true angel. My heart is shattered. I wish I could have done more, spent more time with him, taken more pictures. I wish I could have hugged him longer.”
