Newborn Puppy Photoshoots Should Be Mandatory, Seriously

Need a boost? Look no further than this irresistibly adorable photoshoot featuring a newborn pug. Photographer Alex Johnson captured this little one as if she were an actual infant, and it’s bound to melt your heart.
Johnson, a specialist in newborn photography, made an exception for her friend Tina’s pint-sized pug named Bella. “Tina received Bella as a birthday gift from her partner (what a catch, right?!), and everyone who meets her is smitten,” Johnson shared in a blog post. “I reached out to see if she wanted a newborn puppy shoot, and she was thrilled by the idea.”
The shoot included a delicate floral crown, fluffy blankets, and a miniature basket. Plus, Johnson mentioned there were ample opportunities for puppy cuddles.
We can’t help but lose our composure looking at these images. Bella is simply too adorable.
In an interview with Home Insemination Kit, Johnson noted that Bella was full of energy, which really shone through in the photographs. If you’re inspired to organize your own puppy photoshoot (who could blame you?), there are some helpful tips to keep in mind.
“I suggest bringing one or two of the puppy’s favorite toys and, of course, some treats. I had a squeaky rubber chicken that worked wonders to grab her attention, and having puppy pee pads ready is essential!” Johnson explained. “To expend some of that puppy energy, Tina let Bella run up and down the hall, which worked like a charm. Eventually, she calmed down and dozed off.”
That squishy little face is absolutely slaying us. Seriously, how cute!
If you’re in need of even more Bella cuteness (it’s been a long week, after all), be sure to check out the pug’s Instagram. You’ll find her:
