Recently, Jason Lee and his partner Thomas Reyes welcomed twins, Oliver James and Lily Grace, into their family. While Jason appreciates the opportunities to bond with his children, he admits that sleep is a luxury he no longer enjoys. “Oh, sleep deprivation is no joke,” he remarked, to which any parent can relate. “I can understand how exhausting it can get, and how that can lead to some serious challenges. It’s a reality check!” Thankfully, the couple has a robust support system, with family stepping in to help when the twins become a handful or when the dads need a break.
“I’m telling you, instead of gifts like onesies, people should just say, ‘How about a couple of nights babysitting? That’s what we really need!’” he laughed.
Fatherhood has transformed Jason’s outlook on life. “Having kids changes everything. It used to be all about me, but now it’s all about them.”
Jason and Thomas welcomed Oliver and Lily via surrogate on October 13, 2021. Jason joyfully announced the news on social media the following day, sharing a photo of the twins’ birth certificates with the caption, “The little wonders have arrived!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I can’t express how overwhelmed with love I am. Thank you for all the warm wishes—it truly means a lot. Now, how on earth do you change a diaper?! Ahhhhhhh!”
