Hey there, fellow moms! Today, I’m embracing one of those “You’ve got this!” moments, and I’ve decided it’s high time I stop saying sorry for parenting in my own unique style. You know what? It’s working. My kids are (mostly) happy and healthy, and honestly, keeping up with all the rules is just too draining.
So, here’s the deal: I’m not apologetic about letting my kids zone out in front of the TV while I whip up dinner. Or for calling it dinner when all I’m serving is microwave mac and cheese. Let’s be real—the mac and cheese is more for me than them!
I’m also not sorry for bribing my kids. Sometimes you need to pick up a few cheap toys at the store to avoid a meltdown, or offer them fruit snacks just to get them out of the playground. I mean, fruit snacks are kinda like fruit, right?
Alone Time is Essential
And let’s talk about alone time—because I crave it. I dream of mini-vacations where I’m not interrupted, or catching a movie solo so I can indulge in some guilty pleasure flick without judgment. Sometimes, I send the kids to daycare on my day off just to wander the mall and shop for items that aren’t in toddler sizes.
Sleep Training and Mom Time
Sleep training? Not sorry for that either. Sure, I let my kids cry it out sometimes. And while I yearn for snuggles at night, I still don’t let them in our bed. And yes, there are those early mornings when I turn off the baby monitor and hit snooze, even if my 1-year-old is ready to party.
Loving my job? Absolutely! Sometimes I do look forward to Monday, eager to engage that adult part of my brain I lose sight of on weekends. And when 4 p.m. rolls around, it’s all about mom time, and I’m out the door.
A Little Swearing Never Hurt
Let’s not forget about a little swearing now and then—sometimes you just need to vent! I let my kids listen to questionable music in the car, and yes, they can eat food off the floor. Our dog licking their faces? That’s just part of the fun.
Sharing the Joy
And you know what? I’m not shy about sharing photos of my kids online because, in my eyes, they’re the cutest little humans ever. So, moms, let’s make a pact to stop saying sorry. At the end of the day, most other moms are probably too worn out to care what we’re doing anyway.

In Summary
In summary, let’s embrace our unique parenting styles without the guilt. We’re doing our best, and that’s what truly matters.
