Adding to the chaos is Mia’s overbearing mother, Dottie, who never seems to leave their side. Dottie’s antics and wild theories only complicate their already tumultuous new marriage and parenting journey. It’s a relatable struggle that many can recognize; the strain of in-laws can be a lot!
Penn Badgley’s portrayal of Joe is compelling, showcasing his humanity amid the chaos. As he grapples with fatherhood and his past, viewers often find themselves sympathizing with him. Joe navigates the difficult task of bonding with Henry, a struggle many new fathers share. But just when you think he’s making progress, Mia pulls him back into the darkness.
Season 3 is filled with jaw-dropping moments, yet it manages to reveal the humanity in both characters.
