I’ve Been Influenced, and Now I Want (Need?) the Bogg Bag

When Crocs decided to stop making their flat ballerina shoes, I was honestly heartbroken. I took a moment to mourn and then went on a shopping spree, stocking up on Crocs for my kids in case their favorites were also discontinued. I appreciate how easy they are to clean, especially since kids are always stepping into all sorts of messes. Now, there’s a new product that offers that same durable, washable quality in a tote—it’s called the Bogg Bag.

Mom groups are raving about these bags, as if there are no alternatives for carrying our kids’ wet towels, snacks, and water bottles to the pool or beach. While there are plenty of options out there, many of us have been swayed (or perhaps peer-pressured) into getting one, and honestly, who can blame us?

The Bogg Bag was created by a mom who loves the beach and wanted a tote that could withstand the wear and tear that kids and sandy shores can inflict. It had to be easy to clean and durable enough to handle whatever spills and messes come its way. The family behind the Bogg Bag patented the design and launched their business in 2011.

For me, it’s the ultimate bag—especially since becoming a parent. Do you know all the stuff I haul around for my kids? It’s a mix of items that stain, smell, and crumble, leaving who-knows-what at the bottom of my bag. Just the other week, I discovered a bird feather in there (yes, you read that right). My kids toss things into my bag like it’s their own personal storage, caring little about whether it’s wet or dirty, particularly during summer. This is precisely why I crave a Bogg Bag.

There are around thirty color options available—not quite 6,000, but close enough! With various prints too, I could technically buy a new bag for every day of the month. The selection is perfect for someone like me, who struggles with indecision. While they aren’t the cheapest option, they are incredibly practical. Go ahead, take a peek and drool as I did—don’t worry, they’re waterproof, so you can easily wipe away any drool.

My favorite is the extra-large tote (though the smaller Bogg Bag is also a great size). I tend to shove all sorts of things in my bag—some good, some not so good (remember the bird feather?). Recently, I found pebbles mixed with seashells in there, courtesy of my daughter, who seems to be a little collector. The bag features drainage holes that help expel sand and prevent odors, making it easy to shake out unwanted debris. Plus, I can simply spray it down! No wonder moms can’t stop talking about this bag; we all need easy-to-clean solutions in our lives.

And let’s not forget the limited edition designs, like my personal favorite, the pineapple print. It makes me dream of sipping cocktails, although I know some people associate the pineapple with other meanings—let’s just say that’s not why I love it.

For my birthday, I’m asking for a gift card to buy a Bogg Bag. This enthusiasm isn’t even sponsored; I’m just really excited about this bag. Bring on the pebbles, feathers, and sand—my future Bogg Bag is ready to take it all on!
