As we wave goodbye to Halloween, it’s time to shift our focus to the next big celebration—Christmas! Since the debut of the beloved “Elf on the Shelf” book by Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell in 2005, this little elf has become a staple of the holiday season. IHOP is now joining the festive fun!

The breakfast chain has unveiled its Elf on the Shelf Holiday Menu, making it easier to encourage good behavior in our kids with delicious treats without the nightly hassle of relocating the elf. The menu boasts delightful Elf-themed Jolly Cakes, a Holiday Ham and Sausage Omelette, whimsical Oh What Funnel Cakes, Merry Marshmallow Hot Chocolate, and a Little Elves Combo for both little ones and big kids.

But that’s not all—adults ordering an entrée can enjoy a free kids’ meal for children under 12 daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. until January 1 (in-store only). Now that’s a generous dose of holiday cheer!

On the IHOP website, the “Jolly Cakes” are described as four vibrant green pancakes drizzled with sweet cream cheese icing, topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with red and green decorations resembling Christmas tree ornaments. And let’s not forget the “Oh What Funnel Cakes,” which are classic fair-style funnel cakes lightly dusted in powdered sugar and adorned with glazed strawberries and more elf sprinkles. Delicious!

The Holiday Ham and Sausage Omelette features fire-roasted peppers and onions, a blend of jack and cheddar cheeses, all smothered in a cheddar cheese sauce and served with hashbrowns and an additional side. You might think adding “holiday” to a menu item doesn’t change much, but trust me, it makes all the difference.

For a fun family night, IHOP is also offering an animated special featuring Santa, Mrs. Claus, a cast of Scout Elves, and adorable arctic fox cubs. You can purchase this new movie titled Elf Pets: A Fox Cub’s Christmas Tale on their website for just under $10.

IHOP never fails to embrace the holiday spirit. They previously featured a special menu for Halloween inspired by the Addams Family and wowed guests with a Grinch-themed menu last year. It’s a joyful spot for families to celebrate all that the season has to offer.

“We’re thrilled to kick off the holidays with a partnership between IHOP and The Elf on the Shelf, two cherished family brands,” said Marissa Blake, IHOP’s marketing director. We’re all in for this festive collaboration!
