After an intense, 18-day operation, all 12 team members and their coach have been successfully brought to safety and are currently recuperating in a local hospital. They have all received vaccinations for rabies and tetanus, and their families have been granted limited visitation, albeit through a glass partition for safety reasons. The boys, who often embark on adventures together, were exploring the Tham Luang cave system with their assistant coach when sudden monsoon rains trapped them underground.
