Get Ready for ‘Disney+ Day’ on November 12th
Updated: Oct. 29, 2021
Remember when Disney first revealed their streaming service, Disney+? It feels like it’s been part of our lives forever, but in reality, that announcement was just two years ago! This year, on Friday, November 12, The Walt Disney Company and fans will come together to celebrate the second anniversary of the app, aptly named “Disney+ Day.”
According to a press release from Disney, “subscribers to Disney+ will enjoy new content releases from its iconic brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star in international markets. There will also be a special presentation on Disney+ offering sneak peeks of upcoming releases.” Furthermore, Disney+ will expand its reach into new Asia-Pacific markets, launching in South Korea and Taiwan on November 12, and in Hong Kong on November 16.
As a huge fan of Disney+, I can’t wait! My family, especially my nine-year-old, relies on it daily—though she sometimes wakes up early to catch new movies before I do, as if she pays for the subscription!
Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting content premiering on Disney+ Day:
- The streaming debut of Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings”
- The family-friendly adventure film “Jungle Cruise,” available to all subscribers
- An original Disney+ movie “Home Sweet Home Alone,” a fresh take on the beloved holiday classic
- A new series of shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios titled “Olaf Presents,” featuring the lovable snowman retelling classic Disney stories
- The domestic streaming debut of fan-favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios shorts, including “Frozen Fever,” Oscar-winning “Feast,” and “Paperman”
- An animated short film “Ciao Alberto” from Pixar, featuring characters from “Luca”
- A new Simpsons short that pays homage to Disney+’s iconic brands
- The first five episodes of season 2 of “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” from National Geographic
- A special honoring the legacy of Star Wars’ legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett
- A celebration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ with a thrilling look at what’s next
- “Dopesick,” a new series starring Michael Keaton, debuting in international markets as part of the general entertainment offering
Subscribers can also look forward to a fan celebration on Disney+, showcasing breaking news, first looks, new trailers, and special appearances from creators and stars.
With Disney promising more announcements leading up to Disney+ Day, I’m eager to see what else is in store. So mark your calendars for November 12th—it’s going to be a fantastic day for fans everywhere!
