Can you do self-insemination at home ?
In a rather unusual turn of events, a couple in Florida tried to host their entire wedding at a mansion they did not own and for which they had no permission to use. Planning a wedding involves numerous details—from guest lists and invitations to catering and attire—and usually, securing a venue is one of the most crucial steps. However, for one couple, the rules didn’t seem to apply.
Courtney Wilson and Shenita Jones sent out elaborate invitations to family and friends, inviting them to their “dream estate” for a wedding ceremony on Saturday, followed by a brunch on Sunday. The only issue? They didn’t actually own the mansion and had previously been denied permission by the owner to hold their wedding there. But that didn’t deter them.
The mansion, which boasts amenities like a bowling alley, a swimming pool with a waterfall, a hot tub, tennis courts, and a gazebo, seemed like the perfect venue to the couple. Wilson even claimed it was part of “God’s plan” for them to marry there—though it remains to be seen how divine intervention would play out in a courtroom over trespassing charges.
The couple had initially scoped out the property under the guise of potential buyers and thought they could pull off the wedding since the house was listed for sale. However, the owner, Nathan Finkel, was at home enjoying his morning coffee when he saw a large number of strangers setting up for a wedding on his lawn.
“I have people trespassing on my property,” Finkel reported to a 911 dispatcher. “They’re claiming it’s God’s message. I just want it to stop.” When the police arrived, they told Wilson to leave the premises, which he did. No criminal charges were filed, and it remains unclear whether the couple managed to find a legal venue for their wedding.
