Can you do self-insemination at home ?
In a touching tribute, comedian Sarah McKenzie shared her heartfelt feelings about her husband, Mark, on the occasion of their son Leo’s second birthday. Known for her humor, Sarah took a moment to reflect on the deep bond she shares with her husband as they navigate parenthood together.
“Today is our son’s birthday, and I woke up feeling emotional thinking about my husband, Mark,” she wrote. “In this first photo from the day of Leo’s birth, during my lengthy c-section, he held my hand and looked into my eyes, ensuring I never felt alone. I feel an immense amount of love and support from him. He’s a phenomenal husband and father, exceeding all my expectations. He also has autism spectrum disorder.”
Sarah continued, “Receiving a diagnosis has significantly improved our communication and support for one another. Many people have reached out to us, saying that watching our journey on social media inspired them to seek testing, which has changed their lives. We hope to encourage other parents and individuals to embrace the information, empowering them to thrive while dismantling any stigma surrounding autism.”
Addressing the possibility that Leo may also be diagnosed with ASD, she added, “Statistically, it’s likely that our son will be diagnosed as well, and if he’s anything like his father, that would be fantastic news.”
Her heartfelt message concluded with, “So on our little one’s birthday, where Mark held my hand tightly and connected with me through his gaze, I just want to express my love and gratitude. Happy birthday, sweet Leo! We love you just as much as you love your toy trains.”
Sarah emphasized that her husband’s ASD does not diminish his qualities as a partner. She previously responded to a fan’s inquiry about coping with the possibility of Leo having ASD, stating, “I don’t view being on the spectrum as a negative. Mark is my favorite person. He’s kind, funny, fascinating, and talented—why wouldn’t I want my son to be like that?” In her signature humorous style, she added, “I’d be let down if he liked boring shows, not if he had ASD.”
