Amy Schumer has had quite a journey over the past couple of years, but she recently shared an uplifting update on her health with her followers. The comedian and mother posted stunning beach photos of herself in a black swimsuit on social media, expressing her relief at finally feeling like herself again after undergoing surgeries to remove her uterus and appendix due to endometriosis, along with liposuction.

“I feel good. Finally,” she wrote. “It’s been a journey, thank you for helping me regain my strength @jessicajamesmd (endo) @markdoctormd (lipo). Never thought I would do anything like this, but after two and a half years of no uterine contractions and hitting 40, it was time. Huge thanks to @michellesmith acupuncture and my friends and family. Let’s go!”

Schumer has been candid about the severe pain caused by her endometriosis and previously expressed her emotions in a post-op audio recording. “All my lifelong pain explained and lifted out of my body,” she said. “I’m already a changed person. I’m bursting with joy for the new energy I have to spend time with my son.”

Known for her honesty, Schumer isn’t shy about sharing both the humorous and challenging moments of her life. Last month, she posted a funny selfie with her husband, Jake, along with the caption, “I have a yeast infection.”

In addition to her health struggles, she has openly discussed her fertility challenges following the birth of her son. “We did IVF, and it was really tough on me,” she admitted. “I don’t think I could ever go through that again. At this point, I’ve decided I can’t be pregnant again. We considered using a surrogate but have decided to hold off for now.”

Schumer detailed her pregnancy journey with her son Gene in her documentary “Expecting Amy,” where she candidly spoke about her battle with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), a severe form of morning sickness that led to multiple hospitalizations and show cancellations. “Texas, I am so deeply sorry,” she shared on Instagram. “I’ve been really looking forward to these shows, but I have to reschedule. I’m in the hospital. I’m fine, and the baby’s fine, but the second trimester isn’t as easy as people say.”
