When I looked away from my phone for a mere three seconds, I was fully compliant with your instruction to “Get off that phone!” since you never specified how long I should be away from it.
Your request for us to “Do something together” was rather vague, and thus, our activity of darting around the house and playfully swinging at each other with pool noodles certainly qualifies as “something.”
If any part of my eye is still visible to others, then by definition, I have not rolled my eyes at them.
Considering that over the years you consistently asked, “Will parents be home?” every time I sought permission to visit a friend, your omission of that question on one occasion led me to reasonably conclude that the presence of parents was no longer a requirement.
When you shouted, “No gaming!” your arms appeared to flail in the vicinity of the laptop. While some of what you said was hard to understand, we interpreted “That’s it!” as a limit to your command. Furthermore, you made no clear indication—either physically or verbally—that the PS4, which was in a completely different room, was included in this abrupt and unjust restriction.
