Kate Larkin is the Editor-in-Chief at Home Insemination Kit. In this capacity, she shapes the editorial vision and strategy of the site, collaborating closely with the social media and newsletter teams. Kate is excited and grateful to be part of the witty, intelligent, and lively community of fellow parents.
Before joining BDG, she dedicated over 11 years to HuffPost, where she began as the founding Travel Editor in 2010 and later served as Managing Editor of Voices, concentrating on Parenting and Women’s issues. She concluded her time there as Senior Editor for Parenting and Culture, overseeing all topics related to parenting, travel, and streaming across the platform. Kate also organized HuffPost’s inaugural parenting conference, How To Raise A Kid, held in Brooklyn in 2018.
Additionally, she was part of the founding team at WSJ. Magazine and contributed to the editorial teams at House & Garden (RIP) and InStyle (also RIP). A native New Yorker, she graduated from Davidson College in 2004 with a major in History. Kate is the mother of two energetic elementary-aged boys, who she shares with her husband, along with their equally lively cavapoo puppy named Frank.
