Julia has an extraordinary love for drawing – it’s her passion. Watching her immerse herself in art reminds me of the joy I experienced at her age, and it fills me with excitement. In my efforts to nurture her artistic spirit, I’ve had her artwork printed on t-shirts and plates, and I’ve even let her decorate her room with her masterpieces, much like I did when I was little.
However, nothing has thrilled me quite like our latest endeavor. I gathered some of Julia’s standout pieces, scanned them into my computer, and creatively arranged them to form a (somewhat) coherent story. This project is particularly special as we anticipate a move in the near future. Here’s a little glimpse of what we created…
To bring this vision to life, I used Lulu.com for the design, printing, and binding. I can hardly wait for the finished product to arrive! (If you’re looking for larger book projects, I highly recommend checking out Blurb.com, where I previously printed a book based on my blog.) The cost of Julia’s book? Just seven dollars. But the real value lies in the fact that she can hold, read, and share a book that she conceptualized. To me, that’s absolutely priceless and undoubtedly my favorite gift ever.

In conclusion, this project not only celebrates Julia’s creativity but also strengthens our bond as a family.
