Hey friends! Just a heads-up—Target has issued a recall for more than 25,000 jars of Good & Gather baby food because they contain elevated lead levels. This recall, which was announced in March, affects 4-ounce jars of vegetable puree, specifically pea, zucchini, kale, and thyme, that were sold in Target stores nationwide.

If you happen to have any jars from lot numbers 4169 or 4167 (you can usually find these near the expiration date or barcode), make sure to toss them out or contact Target for a refund. A spokesperson for Target assured that they’re dedicated to offering safe and high-quality products, stating, “We require our suppliers to comply with all applicable food safety standards and federal, state, and local regulations.” They also emphasized that this was a limited recall and they acted quickly to remove the affected items from their shelves.
