Feeling envious? Olivia Green’s first Mother’s Day was truly the epitome of motherhood goals! Did you indulge in a bucket of fried chicken and a box of biscuits? If you did, cheers to you and Olivia!
Olivia celebrated the special day with a mouthwatering feast, courtesy of her partner, Chris Taylor. The comedian treated her to a bucket of crispy fried chicken, a box of warm, buttery biscuits, and a sweet “off-duty mom” card. As Olivia expressed, it was everything she wished for. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, especially those grappling with postpartum depression and anxiety, still in their maternity clothes because the snapback is just unrealistic, and feeling insecure as they scroll through social media today,” she shared alongside photos of herself enjoying her meal in a cozy men’s button-down shirt and shorts. “A big thank you to @ChrisTaylor for knowing that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was just chicken, biscuits, and for him to handle all nap duties today,” she concluded. That’s what we call peak new mom bliss!
In addition to her tasty feast, Olivia shared adorable footage of Chris playing with their son, Leo, in his nursery while she savored her Mother’s Day meal. The 41-year-old actress welcomed Leo with Chris, 39, last November and has been open about her journey into motherhood ever since. From the realities of postpartum struggles to late-night snacks and breastfeeding concerns, Olivia has been candid about the challenges that come with parenting and the effect it’s had on her mind and body. While she undoubtedly cherishes her son, she recognizes that the mom life isn’t always as polished as it appears on social media.
“Leo wakes up smiling each morning, enjoys bath time so much that he kicks his legs in excitement when he hears the tub filling up, and loves gumming on his tiny fists while squealing along when we read to him,” Olivia recently shared on Instagram, humorously adding, “I, on the other hand, am stuck rotating the same three t-shirts and sweatshirts 🤪.”
In a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute, Chris expressed gratitude towards Olivia for giving him “the greatest gift imaginable,” sharing a throwback photo from the delivery room. Olivia reposted the image on her Instagram Stories, thanking Chris for decorating their space with Christmas lights to celebrate the arrival of their little one. Since they began dating in May 2021, Olivia and Chris appear to have a strong bond, with Olivia supporting Chris through his recovery from substance addiction, while he has been her rock as a new mom. “I’m incredibly happy yet still struggling,” she shared candidly in a post from March. “It’s strange to feel both emotions simultaneously, but I’m so grateful for the happiness that keeps me afloat.” Happiness, along with fried chicken and biscuits, of course!
