Lakshmi is also mindful of how societal pressures regarding appearance can affect her daughter. “Krishna is 11, and I want her to focus on her health rather than her looks, as the world will inevitably judge her. I encourage her to take care of herself through sleep, exercise, and a balanced diet while also nurturing her interests in music and other activities,” she says.

With the new season of Taste of the Nation set to premiere on November 4, she expresses her enthusiasm for blending food with untold personal stories. “Food and culture are deeply intertwined, and many exciting culinary trends emerge from immigrant communities.
