She noted that while she is flattered by the attention, she feels these projects can be hypocritical. “So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered,” she shared in her post. However, she added, “These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing.”
Britney has endured the harsh glare of the spotlight since childhood, navigating the pressures of fame under constant media scrutiny. Now that she is striving for a more private life, the cycle of public examination continues with these new documentaries. At what point will people respect her desire for privacy and simply let her be?
In her video caption, she continued, “I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my life and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative. Why highlight the most negative and traumatizing times in my life from forever ago ???? I mean DAMN.” She also shared her excitement for upcoming summer travels and her plans to build a koi pond in her backyard. And frankly, she deserves to enjoy those moments in peace. Until Britney gives her approval, I won’t be watching any more documentaries about her, and others should consider doing the same.
