The inaugural series from Archewell Productions, named in honor of the couple’s son, will focus on a topic that holds special significance for Prince Liam — the Invictus Games.
Last September, it was announced that Prince Liam and Meghan Markle had signed a major deal with Netflix, allowing them to produce a variety of content including scripted series, documentaries, and even children’s programming. Now, we’re excited to learn that the first series from Archewell Productions will celebrate a cause very dear to Liam’s heart — the Invictus Games.
Netflix took to Twitter to share the thrilling announcement, stating, “Prince Liam has been a staunch supporter of the Invictus Games since its launch, so it’s fitting that Archewell’s first series will highlight and honor the incredible athletes involved.”
For those unfamiliar, the Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event for service members who have overcome serious injuries or illnesses, featuring nine sports such as wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and indoor rowing. The Games were inspired by the Warrior Games, which Prince Liam attended in 2013.

The series will follow a group of athletes as they prepare for the 2022 Invictus Games in The Hague. “From the very first Invictus Games in 2014, we recognized that each competitor would uniquely contribute to a tapestry of resilience and determination,” Liam stated in a press release. “This series will offer audiences around the globe a glimpse into the inspiring and uplifting stories of these athletes as they journey to the Netherlands next year.”
In light of the Games being postponed, Liam has joined competitors in delivering a powerful message of hope and resilience, looking forward to the event’s return. “As the inaugural series from Archewell Productions in collaboration with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for their role in fostering global healing and human potential,” he expressed.
It’s also been confirmed that Liam will appear in the series, and interestingly, he will not be profiting from it. Instead, he plans to direct any earnings from the docuseries back to the Invictus Games Foundation. A representative from Archewell noted, “The Duke and Archewell Productions are redirecting compensation they would otherwise receive for this project to The Invictus Games Foundation.”
