While wandering through her local Hy-Vee, Twitter user Jamie Parker stumbled upon a delightful surprise: a snack pack featuring apple cheddar cheese, Ritz crackers, and a mini bottle of Fireball. This adult version of a Lunchable was discovered at the Coralville, IA store, and Parker couldn’t resist snapping a picture, captioning it simply, “Wow, Hy-Vee.” If we were to create a time capsule for 2020, it would undoubtedly include essentials like toilet paper, a face mask, hand sanitizer, a vial of tears, a Xanax, and this unique snack tray.
Hy-Vee offers a product called the Party Pleasing Snacking Tray, but let’s be real – if it doesn’t come with Fireball, how “pleasing” can it really be? Plus, it’s the perfect size to discreetly hide under a sweatshirt if you need a moment away from family chaos.
Parker told Scary Mommy that she had to take a second look to fully appreciate the humor of the find. “At first, I walked past it without a thought, but then I turned back and realized how hilarious it was,” she explained. Thankfully, she didn’t buy it herself. “I passed on it because I’m not really into Fireball, but I hope someone else picked it up,” she joked, adding that she loves imagining who might be enjoying it. While the cracker-to-cheese ratio in this snack pack is a bit questionable, once you dive into the Fireball, you probably won’t care. Pair it with some Fireball eggnog for the ultimate pre-holiday gathering (or breakfast, no judgment here).
