“Modern Family” actor Alex Johnson recently shared some delightful news during his appearance on The Late, Late Show with James Corden. He announced that he and his husband, Mark Thompson, are expecting their first child this coming summer.
Johnson was brimming with joy as he made the announcement to Corden and fellow guest, actor Jamie Foxx. While discussing Foxx’s upcoming birthday, Johnson made a heartfelt comment about entering a new chapter in life. “Turning 40 makes you feel like it’s time to get serious about everything,” he reflected. Then, he let the exciting news slip, saying, “This is something I haven’t revealed before, but I’m thrilled to say that my husband and I are expecting a baby in July.” The audience responded with enthusiastic applause.
Although he chose not to disclose the baby’s gender—joking that it would definitely be “human”—Johnson expressed his eagerness to embrace fatherhood. “I’m really excited, but it feels like I’m already 44. Let’s get this show on the road! Tick tock,” he laughed.

There’s no timeline just yet, but when considering alternate options, more planning is involved. It could take a few years.” Looks like their plans are coming to fruition!
