Hey friends, just a quick heads-up about a recall that might affect some of you. This past weekend, over 675,000 cans of Nutramigen Hypoallergenic Infant Formula Powder—specifically for babies with cow’s milk allergies—were recalled because of potential bacterial contamination. The manufacturer, Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition, voluntarily decided to issue this recall after a batch shipped to Israel tested positive for Cronobacter sakazakii. Thankfully, there have been no reported illnesses among infants, and none of the samples tested in the U.S. showed any signs of the bacteria.

If you happen to have this formula at home, here’s what to look out for: the recall includes cans sold in 12.6-ounce and 19.8-ounce sizes, marked with batch codes ZL3FRWZL3FPE. Make sure to check your pantry!
