- Battersea Park Children’s Zoo: A visit to Battersea Park Children’s Zoo is a must. We went twice during our last trip! The zoo boasts a variety of animals, including donkeys, ferrets, and African Grey parrots, along with a fantastic play area for kids. The on-site café is perfect for a quick meal.
- Walking Tours: Consider joining one of the London Walks, which offer a fascinating way to explore the city’s history. While the two-hour tours might be too long for toddlers, older kids will likely enjoy themed walks such as the Harry Potter tour.
- Harrods: Known as one of the world’s most famous department stores, Harrods is worth a visit even if you’re not shopping. The stunning layouts and decorations are like walking through a museum. Bring the family and marvel at the displays; the store also has various dining options to refuel.
- The Royal Mews: Just a short walk from Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews is a must-see. Here, kids can admire royal carriages, horses, and even the iconic Rolls Royce Phantom VI. There’s also an engaging kids’ area where they can use art supplies to create their own carriage designs.
- National Army Museum: This museum features a dedicated kids’ zone where children can play and learn simultaneously. My daughter and her cousin enjoyed several hours exploring the hands-on exhibits, which make learning interactive and fun.
- The South Bank Attractions: The London Eye, Sea Life Aquarium, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey are all located close to one another. Begin with a ride on the London Eye for breathtaking views of the city, then stroll over to the Sea Life Aquarium. After that, visit Big Ben and the surrounding area.
